Oona is a chef and baker based in the far west of Cornwall.
She has run popular seaside cafes, bustling delis, luxury ski chalets and super yacht galleys, always with a focus on exciting flavour combinations and tantalising cakes.
After moving Bristol to study design, and staying for another five years enjoying the city's vibrant food scene, Oona moved back to her homeland of Cornwall. A wedding and a baby later she set up Oona's Cakes due to popular demand for wedding cakes like the ones she had been baking for friends and family.
Her statement style is soft and rustic with dramatic elements and lots of colour. She uses natural ingredients and flavourings to complement real edible flowers and decorations.
Oona is passionate about environmental issues and is working towards being a totally plastic free business. All eggs are Cornish free range and dairy is Cornish too. Flowers are grown here in Cornwall without pesticides, not flown in, and are therefore totally seasonal.
